River Wansbeck to Newbiggin-by-the-sea

After my long walk north to south along the Northumberland Coast Path, which then becomes the English Coast Path, I wanted to explore a little further south.

Technically this was a there-and-back walk, but I only recorded the return.

3 miles.

A rather arbitrary start point

You have a foot bridge - you don't need to walk alongside the road.

The English Coast Path is well signposted

Along the cliff tops

That way-marker shows where the path went - obviously a recent landslip here !

A lot of cliff falls here
