Staithes, Port Mulgrave and Dalehouse

A 4 mile circular walk taking in a short part of the Cleveland Way.

A photo of a crumpled photocopy of the leaflet of the map of my route.
It covered a surprising variety of terrain from wind swept cliff top to deep wooded valley.  While the detailed instructions didn't seem to match reality, everything was very well signposted.

My actual route took in a lot more cliff top.

Looking back when leaving Staithes

Looking back on Staithes from the cliff tops
Heading South

Looking back from the hill top

Heading for Port Mulgrave

Not much of the port left

Heading inland
Down towards the valley

No style as the route description suggests, but this must be the way !

Across the stream
Walking along the ridge of Oakridge Wood Nature Reserve
Walking up out of Dalehouse

This is the way !

This way home
