Ridgeway - Day 4 - Bury Road (nr West Ilsley) to Goring

The fourth (and currently final) day of my Ridgeway Walk.

No detours today, with a bit of an anti-climatic end on low level roadside paths through Streatley.

Ready for our final day
Our start point for the day
Four lanes wide ?
What's this, we go down ?
Underpass of the A34
Who knew there was a mural under the A34 ?
The final panel of the Mural
Climbing back to the surface
Another Memorial
A view south - you can just make out East Ilsley
Zoomed view of East Ilsley
Practice starting gates on the gallops
Nicely stacked round bales
View North
The Ridgeway is effectively a concrete road here
Oh - do I turn here ?
Ah yes - a turn in the road
A Lapwing
There are a lot of private gallops around here
Over the old Compton Railway line
It's unusual to be able to see this far south from the Ridgeway
About half way through today's journey
There are some types of litter I don't expect to find in the middle of nowhere !
I'm getting used to this sort of view
Which way ?  Why uphill of course !
Rolling Hills
First time the trees have covered the Ridgeway
Rolling Hills and Rural Houses
Why isn't the Ridgeway up there ?
Nearly at Goring now
About half way along the *whole* route
There's money in these parts !
Roadside towards Streatley
Lardon Chase to the south of us
Back to civilisation (?)
Streatley
Streatley Meadows
St Mary's Streatley
Over the Thames
Over the Thames a 2nd time ?
Over the Thames a third time ?!?
And this cute cottage is the end of the road for me.
I'm not following the sign !
The emergency support team pick me up from the car park.
